Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why we collect it, how it is used and protected, and the choices you have.
The practice of Dr. Yogish Vijaya Kumar at Re-Flex Super Speciality Clinic, Jayanagar, Bangalore, operates this website. People who come here are often dealing with pain, a recent scan or a difficult decision. Whatever you choose to share with us is treated as confidential, and we ask only for what we genuinely need in order to help you.
Scope of this policy
This policy covers personal information collected through https://www.orthoroboticsurgeon.com and through the enquiry and appointment forms on it. It also covers information you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp in response to something you saw here.
Information collected inside a hospital or clinic during consultation, admission or surgery is governed by that facility’s own medical records and privacy policies, and by the professional confidentiality obligations of the treating team. See Clinical records below.
Information we collect
We collect only the information you choose to give us. That is:
- Your name, so we know who we are speaking to.
- Your phone number, and your email address if you choose to give one, so the clinic team can reach you to confirm an appointment.
- The concern or treatment area you select, so your enquiry reaches the right person.
- Anything you write in the message field, which may include a description of your symptoms, previous treatment or scans.
The appointment form does not send anything to this website. What you type is assembled into a WhatsApp message on your own device. Nothing leaves your device, and nothing is recorded by us, until you press send in WhatsApp. At that point your message goes to the clinic’s WhatsApp number and we hold it in the same way as any other message a patient sends us.
Please share only what is needed to describe your concern. Do not send detailed medical reports, scans or identity documents through the form. Bring them to your consultation, or send them only when a member of the clinic team asks you to and tells you where.
As with most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site available and secure, and is not used to identify you.
How we use your information
We use what you share for these purposes and no others:
- To respond to your enquiry, and to schedule, confirm, reschedule or remind you about a consultation.
- To answer a question about a treatment or a second opinion.
- To direct your request to the correct consulting location out of the three listed on this site.
- To keep a record of appointment requests, and to keep the website working securely.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you enquired.
Consent and your choices
When you submit the appointment form you tick a box confirming that you consent to being contacted by the clinic about your request. That consent is the basis on which we hold and use your details, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law.
You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to info@dryogishvk.com or by telling the clinic team when they call. Withdrawing consent means we stop contacting you, though we may need to retain a minimal record where the law or a clinical obligation requires it.
When we share information
Your information is shared only where it is necessary:
- With the clinic and hospital staff involved in scheduling or delivering your care.
- With service providers who operate parts of the site or our communication tools, such as website hosting or email, under a duty of confidentiality and only to the extent needed to provide that service.
- Where we are required to by law, or by a court, regulator or statutory authority.
- Where sharing is necessary to protect the safety of a patient or another person.
Because appointment requests reach us over WhatsApp, that message travels through WhatsApp, a service operated by Meta, and is governed by WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy as well as this one. WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted in transit. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, call or email the clinic instead, using the details below.
Patient stories and testimonials appear on this site only with the explicit permission of the patient concerned, and any identifying detail is used only to the extent they have agreed to.
Cookies and analytics
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies of our own, and we do not build a profile of you across other websites. Any cookie we use is strictly functional, for example to keep the site working correctly during your visit.
The contact page embeds a Google Map so you can find the clinic. That map is loaded from Google, which may set its own cookies and receive your IP address when the map loads, under Google’s privacy policy rather than ours. If you would rather not load it, the clinic addresses are written out in full on the contact page and in the footer.
If measurement or analytics tools are added in future, this policy will be updated before they go live, and any consent required by law will be requested at that time.
How long we keep information
Enquiry and appointment details, including WhatsApp conversations, are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain a reasonable record of the request. If your enquiry does not lead to a consultation, we remove it once it no longer serves that purpose.
Where an enquiry becomes part of your care, the resulting clinical record is retained for the period required under the medical records rules that apply to the treating facility.
How we protect your information
The website is served over an encrypted connection and holds no database of patient enquiries, because the form never submits to it. Messages that reach the clinic over WhatsApp, and the phone numbers behind them, are seen only by the clinic team members who need them to do their work.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive medical or financial information by unencrypted email.
Your rights
In relation to the personal information we hold about you, you may ask us to:
- Confirm what information we hold and how it has been used.
- Correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
- Erase information we no longer need to hold.
- Stop contacting you, by withdrawing the consent you gave.
- Address a grievance about how your information has been handled.
Write to us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, so that we do not disclose someone else’s information to the wrong person.
Clinical records
Records created during consultation, investigation, surgery and follow-up are medical records held by the hospital or clinic where that care was delivered. They are governed by that facility’s policies and by the confidentiality duties that apply to every member of the treating team.
Requests for copies of your medical records, discharge summaries, operative notes or imaging should be made to the facility concerned. The clinic team can tell you who to approach.
Information about children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about a child through this site, except where a parent or legal guardian provides it while enquiring about care for that child. If you believe a child’s information has been submitted without appropriate consent, contact us and we will remove it.
Links to other websites
This site links to hospital websites, maps, WhatsApp and other external services. Once you follow such a link you are on a website we do not control, and its own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of those sites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the practice, the website or the law changes. The revised version takes effect when it is published here, and the date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Please check back from time to time.
